Volunteer Kalamazoo has been the center for volunteerism in Kalamazoo since 1965. It is a member of Volunteer Centers of Michigan and an affiliate of the HandsOn Network. Volunteer Kalamazoo was established in 1966 when the Service Club of Kalamazoo (later the Junior League) identified the need to have a central location for people to call who were interested in volunteering.
Gryphon Place is now delivering the services of Volunteer Kalamazoo following their dissolution as an organization in 2016. Gryphon Place is honored to continue this important work. To learn more about the dissolution of Volunteer Kalamazoo, as an organization, click here.
Gryphon Place has been helping those in conflict and crisis since 1970. We connect with people and organizations to assist in resolving conflict, crisis, and meeting life’s challenges. Gryphon Place is a resource to the community through our Crisis Services, Conflict Services, School Programs, and Dial 2-1-1; the 2-1-1 program provides resources to other community services and programs to those in need.
Continuing Volunteer Kalamazoo services expands the ways we help our community members connect to resources. We look forward to connecting!
