Each year millions of Americans volunteer their time, energy and talents to make their community a better place. Whether they work to help a single cause or work to solve social problems that affect many, these volunteers demonstrate the strength of people working together to make a difference. STAR Awards – A local event recognizing outstanding volunteers who exemplify the essence of volunteerism. For more than 25 years, the Volunteer Center has celebrated the efforts of our community’s finest volunteers at the annual STAR Awards.
